Nathalie Zaltzman: la sfida del Kulturarbeit tra testimonianza ed ascolto

A partire da un saggio di Zaltzman, il lavoro si propone di approfondire il ruolo, le possibilità, i limiti dell’incontro testimoniale; un incontro che sembra connotato dall’aporia, oggi potenziata da specifiche fragilità connesse al malessere contemporaneo. Accogliendo l’invito della letteratura concentrazionaria, la Shoah è utilizzata come una lente di ingrandimento sull’umano che contribuisce allo sforzo incessante di Kulturarbeit, inteso quale onere etico individuale e collettivo.

Nathalie Zaltzman: the challenge of Kulturarbeit between witnessing and listening. Starting from an essay by Zaltzman, the present paper aims to shed new light on the role, the possibilities, and the limits of witness testimony. Witness testimony seems to be characterised by aporia, which is now enhanced even more so by specific weaknesses connected to the contemporary malaise. Following the lead of concentrationist literature, the Shoah is used as a key to investigate the human experience and the relentless effort of Kulturarbeit, which is intended as an individual and collective ethical burden.

Nathalie Zaltzman: le défi du Kulturarbeit entre témoignage et écoute. Partant d’un essai de Zaltzman, l’ouvrage vise à approfondir le rôle, les possibilités, les limites de la rencontre testimonial; une rencontre qui semble marquée par l’aporie, aujourd’hui renforcée par des fragilités spécifiques liées au malaise contemporain. Acceptant l’invitation de la littérature concentrationnaire, la Shoah est utilisée comme une loupe sur l’humain qui contribue à l’effort incessant de la Kulturarbeit, entendue comme une charge éthique individuelle et collective.

A partir de un ensayo de Zaltzman, este trabajo trata de profundizar el rol, las posibilidades y los límites del encuentro testimonial; un encuentro que parece estar caracterizado por la aporía, hoy potenciada por fragilidades específicas relacionadas con el malestar contemporáneo. Acogiendo la invitación de la literatura «concentracionista», la Shoah se utiliza como una «lupa» sobre lo humano que contribuye al esfuerzo incesante de Kulturarbeit, entendida como carga ética individual y colectiva.

Nathalie Zaltzman: Die Herausforderung der Kulturarbeit zwischen Zeugenschaft und Zuhören. Ausgehend von einem Essay Zaltzmansbeabsichtigt die vorliegende Arbeit, auf die Rolle, die Möglichkeiten und die Grenzen der Zeugenbegegnung näher einzugehen, eine Begegnung, die durch die Aporie gekennzeichnet ist, die heute durch spezifische Fragilitäten im Zusammenhang mit dem zeitgenössischen Unbehagen verstärkt wird. Die Einladung der Konzentrationslager-Literatur annehmend, wird die Shoah als Vergrößerungsglas auf das Menschliche benutzt, das zur unaufhörlichen Bemühung der Kulturarbeit beiträgt, die als individuelle und kollektive ethische Last verstanden wird.
